this is my second new book released this month. It is the first major international anthology of contemporary

surrealist and magical realist poetry. It presents poems by

130 poets from 25 countries, who explore the boundaries of

the poetic imagination, presenting the world as a vigorous

unbound frame My introductory essay for the book, titled”the Lyric imagination” considers the role the imagination must play in the creation of literary texts and takes issue with the dominantt”confessional” predilection in too much contemporary poery. I present this book as a counterpoint to that “confessional” voice, with the hope that poets will use their imaginations more fully as they create those moments of epiphany that characracterize lyric poetry.
